In the cuisine

20120413-203338.jpg

Cooking is something we will have to do for living (to eat, obviously). However, we can cook what we want to eat in a fun way. In fact, the last day I cooked it was pretty fun. After I came home from school, around 16, I went to my room to leave my coat and my bag and ran straight to the kitchen (which is located next to me). I usually eat after I come back from school, so I started to think what to eat that day. It came to my mind the idea of doing my own cooking recipe (starting with something simple and easy). I had decided to do a pasta salad by myself, of course, and adding my own ingredients. I know this is a simple recipe but I hoped to start doing my own cooking recipes by starting with of this one. So for my traditional simple pasta salad I needed these ingredients:

-Tricolor pasta
-Tomatoes
-Sausage
-Oil
-Salt

The steps for my salad recipe are the following:
To make the main part of the recipe, boil water and add the wanting quantity of pasta that you’re going to eat. Add some salt too. At the end put the pasta in a bowl and place it in the fridge to stay cold. (You don’t have to, but cold tastes much better for me.)
Take some tomatoes (doesn’t matter size) and cute them in half. Make sure the pieces won’t be too big to mix it with the pasta in the end.
I added sausages to my salad because I love them and that’s my taste! You can add something else; it doesn’t really have to be sausages if you don’t like them. So cut them into small pieces too so you will be able to eat a mix of everything.
Once you’ve got everything ready (cold pasta, small tomato pieces and the sausages), its time to put everything into a big bowl and start mixing it. Add oil/ vinegar and salt for better taste and voila!

These are the ingredients I used for my own recipe but you can use the kind of pasta and different veggies you like. I wanted my first cooking recipe and as this one is way too simple and easy to do, so I added this plate to a menu including orange juice.

I keep on thinking this recipe is so simply my mind says do not post it up and for sure no one will read these horrible recipe of mine. Well I’m just trying out new stuff and I’m doing great so far! My recipes need more professionalism and better usage of my ingredients so I will try out something new next time. What recipe do you suggest? I’m looking forward to make something different and interesting, some good and fun recipe to make.

Eating: Taste & Place.

If you were eating now (or you’re actually eating) at your home or at a restaurant, what kind of taste do you go for the most? For some people might be hard to decide… or maybe not. You would probably go for anything you just feel like eating at that moment (I can honestly tell you I’d be lying if I denied it). Sometimes you just gotta eating anything to fill up your stomach (like I do) or you can take your time to decided what you feel like eating (good reason: to eat healthy).

If I’m at home for lunch or dinner time I grab whatever I have in the fridge hoping it will fill me up. Some days for healthy reasons I usually eat a plate with beef (or other kind of meat) and accompany it with some vegetables (I mostly take tomatoes). It is also quite comfortable eating home. There’s no people talking at once besides you can watch TV or sit down on the couch. In the other hand, when I go out to eat to a restaurant there is a wide range of food to choose. Well for me I mostly take the same food just to fill up so I go to restaurants such as McDonalds, KFC… Eating at restaurants than at home has its good parts too. First of all is that you don’t have to make your own food (if you’re lazy like I am sometimes), but unfortunately that laziness has a price eating out!

When it’s time to eat we also have to consider weather we want something sweet or salty. I mostly go for salty food because it fills me up and I don’t have to drink so much unlike when I eat sweet food. Eating either too much sweet or salty food can cause bad stomach aches and healthy problems so try to balance the quantity and above all drink the rational quantity of water you need no matter what you eat! As I mostly eat salty food such as meat, frites, vegetables and pasta I drink a lot. In the other hand, sweet food such as cupcakes, croissants and chocolate haven’t been on my daily eating routine but I take some often.

Food is what will you give you the most energy every day, so eat what you like but healthy if you can!

What about you? What do you like to eat? Are you in the sweeter or salty side of the food? (Thumbs up for the salty food!)

New born talent & doing what you love

So many people on Earth… Musicians, tall, skinny, actors, pretty, and mostly talented. Most people don’t share same traits or hobbies, but the thing we mostly share is that we have a talent. I believe we don’t look out what’s our talent but we have it when we are born and apply it all the way since. Therefore I believe everyone can become a star or something big. It doesn’t really matter what you’re good at (drawing, writing, singing, dancing, blogging etc.) but what counts the most is that you will someday do something that really matters for you because you love doing it. I believe people will find it otherwise for sure what they love doing and understand the value of it.

I never noticed what I was good at. I thought I would find it someday by myself and use it in my way. But now I know, writing. My story is something I hoped to be original but I guess some people went through the same situation too. When I was a kid I used to dedicate my life on doing many things I liked (those things included singing, dancing, hanging out, going out for walks…). Who knew life would ever drag me to write? Yeah, writing was something I really loved to do, and still I do. In my early age I once wrote a small book about a prince and a princess but after everything life has dragged me to, I think its simply gone. Despite of it, I kept most of the time writing in middle school. So afterall, I wouldn’t call writing nothing but something I love. I guess I gotta try to digg deeper to get to know my talent, someday.

Everyone are born with a talent, we just gotta keep digging and try new stuff. And if you truely believe you don’t have one then just do whatever you love the most! Who knows, maybe you’re using your talent but you don’t notice it.

What’s your talent or what do you love to do the most? I’m sure what you love doing is great!

Do you hear that?

Sometimes the only thing you need in life is getting some relax and feeling the beats of your favorite music in your ears. The key to a life with big experiences is music (at least for me). Music is useful in many different and fun ways from expressing oneself to make our lives less boring. There’s a lot to say about a song in concrete, its beat and genre, its lyrics in it… but everyone has its on way to see the meaning of a song.

A song might have few words but the meaning and the feeling of what it says might be big. I chose this song, which I personally like and hope you will see some meaning behind its lyrics when you will read them. The song I chose is Rolling in the Deep by Adele. It’s already known worldwide but its still a great song with beautiful lyrics written by Adele.

Music will always be there for you, with no doubt. There are thousands of ways music can accompany you. If you’re in a bad mood you will likely listen to rock. Whenever I am in rage I listen to rock because it helps me express my mood and how I feel in that certain situation. But if I’m going to go to a crazy party or be happy I’d pick a song that will make me feel like celebrating and go crazy. David Guetta is my top pick for partying (either way, any remixes would be enough too). Any song can express your mood and how you feel.

I always wonder, do people like music from different country or prefer from theirs? Some prefer the music from their country and others just prefer international (mostly from the U.S. or the U.K.). While going deep to the matter, I’d like to share with you another song I like. Country: The U.S.A. The song is Part of Me by Katy Perry. It is good for the mood after breaking up. Besides that its lyrics are powerful and if you watch the music video you will notice something surprising! So check out both songs and you will get the meaning about them.

In the end, if you ever feel like your life is missing something just plug in your headphones and play your music that makes you feel better or go crazy, it helps!

Unique style

My dear readers, how many of you wake up, have breakfast, take a shower and then go crazy when choosing clothes? Yeah, unfortunately I’m one of them. I spend most of the time in the morning trying to decide what to wear either for school or not. That’s one of the small issues when I wake up in my daily routine. Running out of time, I grab whatever I feel or look comfortable with and put it on. My closet is not full of brand bags and purses nor elegant dressing style clothing (which it would actually be nice to), my closet is has a mixture of so called Samantha’s style (made it up, my style). I honestly wear a bit of everything, no matter where I go. I some days wear a pair of Converse electro shoes with bluish pants and a matching top under my bf’s sweater or my sweatshirt. It actually all depends on my mood and the weather, but I usually dress comfy and retro-style.

Everyone has their own and unique style, what’s yours?
